KIA ORA & HAPPY EASTER! 

It’s hard to believe we have reached the end of the 23/24 baseball season. 

This year the competition was tough, with our Pirates Travel League teams competing well throughout, before bowing out of the competition in two hard-fought Semi Finals against Central Mako.

That means it's time now to reflect on the season and celebrate the many reasons we have to be proud of our Pirates this summer. There is also some exciting off-season action ahead. 

Here’s what to expect in the coming weeks.

PRIZEGIVING  |  SUN 7 APR  |  3pm

We're looking forward to celebrating together at prize-giving on Sunday 7 April. This is a special event to celebrate the achievements of our competitive 16U and 14U Sunday teams, and to acknowledge the hard mahi of our volunteers. 

• SUNDAY 7 APRIL -  Prizegiving will be hosted at the Wests Rugby club rooms, starting from 3pm. Click the Prizegiving article link below for details.
   
• UNIFORM RETURN - We will collect all player uniforms at prizegiving, so please make sure they are clean and ready to return.

OFF-SEASON ACTION

We're excited about some new opportunities for our Pirates coming up this Winter -

DOWNUNDER WINTER CLASSIC (AUSTRALIA) 
The Down Under Winter Classic is a 5 day baseball tournament. This year it will be held on Australia’s Gold Coast, from 7 – 12 July - and we want to send some Pirates!

WELLINGTON BASEBALL WINTER DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE
There will also be plenty of local opportunities to stay connected to baseball this Winter. This will be a great opportunity to work with players and coaches from across our region as we continue developing our skills through the offseason.
